Hello TECH Contractors,
TECH Clean California plans to relaunch our incentive program Spring 2023 and will share more information as soon as it is available.
In preparation for this relaunch, existing claims must be submitted and ready for approval by Tuesday, January 31, 2023. See table below for impacted claims.
Claims not impacted are HPWH claims in Southwest Gas and Southern California Gas territories. You may continue to submit eligible claims for which funding is still available.
All impacted claims currently “Unsubmitted” or “Submitted” must be submitted, with all corrections, by the deadline in order to be eligible for payment. Shortly after this date, our team will begin rejecting any claims that have not been submitted and are ready for approval.
Please note that BayREN claims or Central Coast Community Energy (CCCE) HPWH claims are not affected by this January 31 deadline.

Upon entering Iris, you can see this same list of outstanding claims by going to “Claims” --> “List”. If you see any claims that are “Unsubmitted”, or “Submitted” where you have not made the required corrections, please go ahead and make any necessary corrections and submit the claims.
If you have any questions about your claim or any correction requested on the claim, please contact tech.incentives@energy-solution.com for more clarification. We will work with you to get the needed corrections made so that your claims can be paid.
Anticipated Questions
- Question: I made corrections to my claim, but haven’t seen it approved yet, will this be affected by the January 31 date?
- Answer: No, if you have made all the necessary corrections to your claim by this date, your claim will not be affected by the deadline.
- Question: I will not be able to get my claims submitted and/or corrected by this date, will my claims be affected?
- Answer: Yes, please connect with your Frontier account manager to submit a formal request for extension and discuss how we can help you close out this project.
- Question: Can I submit any rejected claims once the second round of TECH funding becomes available?
- Answer: No, jobs performed in 2022 will not be eligible for the second round of TECH funding. Complete eligibility details will be announced at a later date
