All HVAC projects must complete HERSII Testing as applicable to their scopes of work and local jurisdiction requirements. The desktop review team reviews the CF3R to confirm that what was submitted on the application was in fact installed. The score on the CF-3R is not being considered as part of the QA/QC process unless the contractor is pursuing the duct sealing/replacement incentive.
TECH Clean California requires:
- HERSII CF3R MCH-26-H to verify equipment installation on HVAC projects.
- HERSII CF3R MCH-20-H for duct measures to confirm leakage meets the 5% standard.
Cases where a CF3R is NOT required:
- HERSII is not required on HPWH measures.
- HERSII is also not required for mobile homes
- Upload photo documentation of nameplate/unit
- Upload the CF-1R
- Upload the closed permit
- Ductless mini split that doesn't require a CF-3R
- Upload photo documentation of nameplate/unit
- Upload the CF-1R
- Upload the closed permit
The CF3R documents are uploaded as part of the job submission process.
We understand that CF-3Rs are not always required under local jurisdiction law, please submit any documentation available to show the equipment was installed, and include a note stating that the CF3R is not legally required for this project along with any evidence to support this. Our team will review the documentation and let you know if there are any issues.
